As a major tourism event, they have this down to an srt form. Multiple races run over 3 days, big race expo, and its Hawaii- gorgeous at every turn.

I would go back in a heartbeat- it's just a long way to go. If you go, be aware that despite pre-dawn start for Marathon and half marathon, it gets hot quickly once the sun rises. For this reason I would caution against a full marathon at this venue. Blacktop roadway for those running >4 hours created lots of walking wounded as the day wore on.

Native Hawaiian start, drums and festive atmosphere make this memorable. As do big roadside crowds, wet sponges at the water stops, and gorgeous scenery.
