Stayed pretty cool for New Orleans. Cool and overcast for most, but got warmer (upper 60s) as the morning went on. |

Pretty good, especially compared to how bad the roads in New Orleans are. I actually ran along the dirt paths in the median where the cable cars ride for much of the first half. |

Fast, I guess. Mostly because it's so flat. First half of the course is cool -- French Quarter, St. Charles Ave., Audobon Park. The second half is MUCH less scenic.

Didn't get any communication until the Thursday before the race. This frustrated me, especially after emailing the website to ask if that was normal. Once I got to New Orleans, I thought things were well organized. Expo and packet pickup were easy. I didn't like how mile markers were small signs that you couldn't find. Plus, there was no clock aside for the start, half, and finish. People were calling out the gun time at each mile, but you had to really pay attention to your watch to know that.
A lot of fun, but I thought there would be more fanfare, music, fans, etc. considering this is the Mardi Gras Marathon in New Orleans.
